Episode 276 - The Tweed Salmon Festival

This was the chance for me to hop in the van, pass over some rivers I've dreamed about and make my way to Scotland for The Tweed Salmon Festival.

I catch up with friends old and new, talking with them about fishing, what it means to them as they walk around the show.

This is a new show run by good people that, at its heart, is trying to encourage young people into fishing. I so enjoyed seeing so many children catching their first fish.

I also talk to tackle companies and the good people from Patagonia who alongside supporting the event, had their Worn Wear repair service that was available not just for their own brand but any brand where you could get a favourite piece of clothing repaired.

We had good food, a few drinks and music from Colin Macleod who sang for us Saturday evening.

It doesn't matter if you don't salmon fish, this is about the people. I'm hoping you'll enjoy it.

I've tried hard to capture the event and the overall feel of it.

It was really special.
